Hallstatt was originally a salt mining village. The houses are perched like swallows nests between the salt mountain and the deep green lake.
The magical and dramatically beautiful nature and culture landscape along with its 7000 year old history attracts visitors from all over the world.

You will find peace and tranquillity on the unique lake terrace under the 100 year old chestnut tree and in the cosy traditional guest house restaurant which was originally a beer brewer’s house.

In the year 1472 the building was first documented, in 1504 Emperor Maximilian gave the house the rights to brew and serve beer.

The house has been in the hands of the family Lobisser Höplinger they have been able to maintain and restore the house in its original tradition charming fashion. The guest rooms all offer fantastic views from the balconies. The breakfast buffet is served in one of the most charming rooms. The guest rooms all have Satellite T.V and showers and toilets. Treat yourself to specialities. Enjoy the many sweet water lake fish directly from the Hallstatt Lake along with a nice glass of Austrian wine.
